Hi, my name is Kylee and today I'm going to share a little bit about my journey in the Marketing Today! pathway. It started when I was in middle school, when I randomly selected Marketing 1 as a class I was interested in taking. Little did I know, that small decision would change the entire trajectory of my life!
After enjoying my marketing class so much during my freshman year, I decided to continue on with the Marketing Today! pathway. During my sophomore year, I joined DECA, a marketing club that holds both state-level and national competitions and conferences. It was through DECA that I was able to see just how broad the world of marketing was. I won at the state level that year and got to go to Florida to compete at the national level. The following year, I won again at the state level and was able to travel to California! I also had the chance to attend a conference in North Carolina during the fall of my senior year. DECA has taught me many things, such as confidence, determination, time management, and many other skills that I will carry with me throughout all of my future endeavors.
I have decided to pursue a career in marketing and will start my journey towards a bachelor's degree in marketing at the University of Delaware this coming fall! So, when I say that the Marketing Today! pathway has changed my life completely, I really mean it. My dream job is to work for the marketing department of the Philadelphia Eagles one day, and the Marketing Today! pathway has provided me with the tools necessary to strive towards that. If you’re considering joining the marketing pathway at your school, definitely do it. I can easily say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made!”
